Compact wall panels are an excellent surfacing material if you are looking to enhance your building exteriors and protect them against dust, storms, and rain. Greenlam Clads, a leading provider of compact wall panels, offers a complete range of HPL cladding to help you embellish both the interiors (interior accent walls) and exteriors (facades, balconies, side walls, and soffits) of your construction projects. Compact wall panels come in endless colour tones and textures, provide several additional benefits such as antimicrobial; anti-graffiti; moisture-resistance, and are exceptionally durable. However, these benefits can only be fully realized if these wall panels are installed correctly. Continue reading as we discuss some of the important recommendations to consider when working with Greenlam HPL wall panels.
Machining
When working with Greenlam exterior grade compact panels, consider the following machining guidelines:
1. Tungsten carbide-tipped woodworking tools are highly recommended.
2. Use Tungsten carbide-tipped circular saw blades (trapezoidal teeth FZ/TR) for clean edges while sawing.
3. Circular saws should be made from Polycrystalline Diamond and Tungsten carbide.

Storage & Conditioning
Proper storage and conditioning are crucial steps in ensuring the longevity of Greenlam’s laminate wall panels. This includes:
1. Stacking wall panels horizontally on flat and stable surfaces.
2. Re-closing PE films over the stacks once the wall panels have been removed.
3. Storing wall panels in closed rooms with normal climatic conditions such as temperature between 18 °C and 30 °C and relative humidity levels between 50% and 65%.
Transport & Handling
Though durable, wall panels are susceptible to damage, especially during transportation (from the storage rooms to construction sites). When transporting and handling Greenlam wall panels, ensure the following:
1. The top boards/panels of each stack should be completely covered with a moisture barrier or cover board. These covering boards should have sufficient weight to withstand strong winds.
2. Placement of wall panels should always be on their flat surface to distribute weight and prevent the edges from breaking.
3. Keep the peel coat intact until the time of installation to prevent scratches and stains.

Cleaning & Maintenance
With Greenlam Clads, cleaning isn’t a chore. Our premium wall panels require minimal upkeep and can be cleaned simply with a dampened sponge or cloth.
1. For cleaning stubborn stains, it is advisable to use a suitable household detergent.
2. When it comes to cleaning UV-resistant wall panels, you may use alcohol-based cleaners, but first test the effects on a small portion of the panel and then proceed with the entire panel.
3. Avoid using cleaning agents that contain abrasives.
